Finger light

His fingers danced in golden sun. It was cold, but mostly in the shadows. He stood, surveying the world ahead, a calm pulling over his restlessness and his breath pluming. The winter ground is still hard, the grass still brown. But Spring is coming and soon his bulky coat will be traded in for something lighter that will allow his arms to fall close to his sides. He’ll enjoy the sun and warmth. He’ll continue to survey the world, but it’ll be fresh and alive. Like him.
