Convergent evolution

These clematis seeds are really remarkably feather-like. I thought I had a better photo today but the focus is a touch off - hoping to be in a better photo-taking regime soon but I don't know that it will happen tomorrow. Apart from the busy weekend the washer broke and has just been fixed so I also have an ironing crisis - will catch up with you all ASAP I promise.
I would have thought they were feathers indeed. Pretty!

Clematis seeds are very pretty but like phil would have expected to see these in the summer! I think it's the backside of one of your hens!!!

Great focus.

@phil_howcroft @happypat it's in flower at the moment - very pretty but hanging very low down so not the best focus. If I can remember where it is I'll take it again.
