Cyclists Today

Just along from here was the start of Stage 3 of the Tour de France on 7th July. I don't have to look it up because it's written on the cycle path. For a while people would do a sprint start from the line but, although a beautiful sunny day today, it's cold and windy and most people were just getting on with their commute. In fact the wind is getting up and although I'm intending to cycle to a book talk in town tonight I'm thinking if it gets much worse I'll have to switch to the car. It'll be behind me coming home though. Anyway this lady was about the 1100th cyclist of the day at around 11 am. Apologies for being out AGAIN tonight - I don't feel very worthy of any comments at the moment so thank you.
Good action capture - nice and sharp. Think I'd use the car if I were you ...

I like the sunlight and shadows - if I were going out here tonight it would not be on two wheels!!

Fab shot of cyclist #1100. That's a very popular bike path! Hope you bundled up if you decided to bike it to the event!! Brrr.

I'm confused - is this lady with the basket on her bike part of the Tour de France? How would you like to be 1100th! Actually I was at one time - always at the back of the group when doing a Bike over the Mountains some time ago. But there weren't 1100. - only about 120!
