Adam had hockey practice this morning and I took Monty for a jaunt around a part of town I often drive through but rarely walk around. In fact it was lovely with sunshine coming through a bit of mist over the fields and parks and I was regretting that his practice was at 11am and not 10 when I'm sure there would have been some really atmospheric shots. Anyway - this is Bateman Street which has some lovely 4 storey houses, some converted into flats and some still intact family homes. I think this sign is aimed at the language school students across the road.
Four good things:
1. Happy birthday to my very special and favourite sister (I only have one).
2. Another practice next week so more exploring in the offing.
3. Inspiring hockey coaches.
4. Ace membership is very good value indeed!
Nicely focused. I'm not sure about Ace membership - can you tell me why it's good? I was a member for a year then let it lapse as I didn't feel I got much out of it. Maybe I need to re-think?
I must admit I haven't used my ace membership as I did last year.....more than one album etc & I don't seem to read statistics as I used too but agree that it's little to pay for the pleasures! It is handy when you want to,post more than one photo which I do sometimes.
Lovely bike shot & those are magnificent black railings......plenty of paint on those!
Well I do like a Cambridge sign. Have you been to see Theory of Everything? The famous (but invisble to Northerners) staircase sign features heavily. As does the staircase! Had I know Hawking lived at the top I might have trespassed for longer.
@fueast yes I saw that and thought of you Alison! Except he definitely didn't live up there - he was at Trinity Hall. St John's looked super beautiful I thought.
@busylady no I pay separately for that as well though it does work via 365 I hardly ever use it that way. I am using a new album now - other wise it takes forever to look back.
The fence is a feature of this place obviously! It is very grand and wouldn't be seen if there were bicycles piled up on it! I like Ace for the ability to edit your posted photos on picmonkey!
