Bit of a gardening day today in which I put pressure on for clearance of an overgrown vine and clematis and luckily I seem to have got away with it. Quite a bit of work to do in the surrounding area but I think it will be much better. The vine was originally on a frame at the back of the house and was moved (and unexpectedly thrived) to a frame down the garden. But these things go mad if left and nobody wanted to sit under its over-dense foliage. Anyway - I'm pretty sure it won't survive this time.
Apologies for not commenting last night - I was sobbing through 'The C-Word' and feeling that the husband should get a lot more tlc in such circumstances - lots of hopes and dreams having to be abandoned for them too.
Nice names for a certain baby...
Brilliant focus, Judith, especially with the bee about to land (though I think I'd have cropped in a little from the bottom left). My 4-yr-old granddaughter, Charlotte, is delighted the new princess has been called after her!
I spent the day in the garden too. Was your vine one of those 'Russian' vies with the long white dangly flowers? they can be a b***r and take over the entire garden!! I watched that programme too. I agree about the husband, any carers need a lot of support too. Sheridan Smith is a great actress.Love the photo, bee entering stage right!
Wow, amazing capture of the bumble bee in flight. Good job gardening! Maybe you can teach me a few skills - we'll have a garden soon and I have no clue! Good thing we're sharing it with the neighbours...
I watched The C Word too....such great acting by Sheridon Smith. I realised too how much the partners have to go through......lovely names but I would have liked Elizabeth first I think.
Fabulous photo! I need a few vigorous growers in my garden and a whole team of gardeners for a week to help with our large garden!
Between weekends at Mum and Dad's and my limited movement due to shoulder issue I just see a huge 'to do' list developing!! Anyway, nice to see things growing in sunshine!
Wonderful names for the tiny princess.
