Feathers all fluffy and brown....

I'm pleased to say that there seems to have been a resurgence of sparrows this year - a little surprising as the local sparrow hawks are also thriving. It's been lovely to see a family in our garden for the first time in years. This chap sat on the cow parsley by the river this morning and let me take his picture. A lovely morning - obviously as revision continues apace...
Such an English shot. I agree the sparrows seem to be more abundant and the cow parsley, along with all types of verge flowers, seem to be thriving. Fav.

Our cow parsley is just starting to think about flowering......sparrows are the essential everyday bird. His little feet are clinging on!

I've noticed more sparrows too. Looks good with the cow parsley - very summery.

Lovely shot of him on the parsley. Nice composition. We are awash with sparrows in our garden! Very noisy they are too.
