A kestrel I think

Maybe a juvenile? Anyway it was very noisy and kept calling to it's mate/parent. Rachel arrived safely on her hols after an all night wait at Gatwick (I think they may think again before booking a 6am flight at an airport 2 hours from home with erratic public transport links but maybe they had a whale of a time at the Champagne bar - who knows!) In the meantime summer has vaguely arrived back here but is lacking confidence....
Huge thanks for the lovely response to Rafiki's eyes - she says thank you for putting her on PP.

Wow! Seriously envious. All the birds of prey round here park themselves on trees or lamp posts on the sides of clearways and dual carriageways and you can almost see them sniggering because no-one can stop to take photos.
