All creatures great and small at the dog show. Indoors again because it was throwing it down all day - the dogs did very well in a confined space. Quite a lot of rescues amongst the competitors as it's in aid of a rescue charity and classes go along the lines of 'waggiest tail' rather than Crufts rules.
They are indeed great and small!! How much fun this would have been.....I have not been to a dog show, even though I have watched them on TV, but frankly our beach is a constant dog show!! ;-))) My current favorite is a French bulldog, and I was so shocked to find out how much the puppies cost....:-(( Personally, I like to get rescue animals....there are so many of them waiting for forever homes, and all my cats have been rescue kitties, and absolutely wonderful, pedigree or not!!
@panthora the other dog with a rosette is a French Bulldog and very cute - there is a major problem with eastern European puppy farms and French Bulldogs. The pups are taken away much too young and illegally imported then when they are taken to vets for vaccinations they end up being put in quarantine or put down. There were two little beauties at the show last year - the owners paid £800 each and then ended up with huge quarantine bills as well as the trauma of knowing the little things were in kennels for weeks.
