Autumn is definitely setting in - I must get myself down on to The Backs. I let Monty decide the walk today - I had his squeaky balls in my bag because I knew he'd take us to Jesus Green. It was interesting to see what route he chose to get there!
Lots of admin stuff this morning and a shout out for Virgin Media is required. Last night we had sound but no picture on the TV. A very nice man on the phone tried to fix it but couldn't so booked an engineer in for this morning. Needless to say it was working OK this morning and I put it down to the fact that we nearly flooded in a heavy rain shower yesterday. I sent a text to Virgin (as instructed) telling them that we didn't need them but the nice man turned up anyway and said the signal coming in to the house was way too strong (turned up by the broadband people who then changed the connectors but didn't turn the signal back down again - may be not a shout out for them...) and that the problem would keep reoccurring if he hadn't fixed it. I pointed out that he had performed an amazing service, it being Bake Off Final tonight and he left with a grin on his face, saying that he is a Doc Martin man himself!
I love your story of your Virgin man, and your shot - like the composition, pov and lots going on here. fav

nice story about virgin media, my experiences with VM cutomer services are generally frustrating, no worse than that , appalling . Passed from pillar to post, I had an issue with my new mobile once, two hours on the phone for them not to resolve it . Great TV . broadband and mobile , but Customer aftercare *********. Little rant there judith.
Fab Cambridge pic, btw Claire (my youngest daughter) went to Cambridge the other weekend to see one of her ex uni mates, said it was beautiful and very impressed :)
In all the years I have been following you Judith I have never seen you post a photo at this angle of Cambridge. Love the curve of that river, the punts lined up...even the one on the water is in the correct place. Beautiful autumn foliage & then some spires in the distance...big Fave! Your experience of the helpful British public is far better than mine today! Good for Virgin! I haven't seen Bake Off yet but have seen the result!
What a lovely view....I would not have guessed this was in Cambridge!! Love the "gondola man" and all the wonderful buildings and the autumn colors! We never get those here, and I miss them, so it will be nice following the change in seasons in your photos! FAV!
