I had to take my iron back to John Lewis today - it's got a steam tank but the button that tells it whether to release steam or not was faulty and it was either turning the room into a sauna or refusing to puff at all. Having eventually found the receipt I was very dischuffed to realise that I'd left it on my desk - but the nice people in small electricals swapped it for a new one anyway. Then, having been inspired by watching the middle half of 'Finding Vivian Maier', last night I went out in the rain in search of street shots.
I'm way behind so will be slowly backfilling...
That brolly is fun.......you managed to get an England 2015 sweat shirt in there too! First class flowers in Cambridge. Very jealous of your local John Lewis, we have to trek to Manchester.
I work at a florist... this is a dream! People in the US don't buy and enjoy flowers like the Europeans... but I think flowers are good for the soul! Beautiful color and composition... and hats off to you for going in search of a photo in the rain!
@calm Ooh lucky you - I'd love that - though I've just made a shocking job of arranging the flowers I bought - too expensive to buy enough for my big vase!
Love flowers and finally after 14 years hubby has grasped that they don't have to be fancy. That morrisons flowers do. I get now plenty of the £3 a go packets of something bright and cheerful when he joins me on a supermarket shop....
I've photographed this very same stall when I have been in Cambridge as it's always colourful and there is always someone there trying to decide which ones to buy - Fav
I saw this on trending and thought I recognised the style. Love your style and the brolly and the flowers - I'm always buying the bunches and sometimes orchids in pots.
Lovely colourful shot on a dull day. The fun umbrella adds interest too. My electric whisk decided it not to work properly today, it only wants to whisk at the very fastest speed! So annoying when appliances let you down.
I really like Morrison's flowers - and I buy my own - perhaps not romantic but............
