The School of Divinity at St John's College has undergone a very extensive refurbishment and now has a lecture theatre and teaching rooms. Part of the work involved digging out the basement and the whole process ground to a halt while over 1300 complete and partial skeletons were carefully removed. They are now being carefully examined to determine cause of death and were buried between the 13th and 15th Centuries on the site of the Hospital of St John the Evangelist. Huge thanks for welcoming me back and for starting me off with a photo on PP.
Incredibly ornate building & I was so pleased wgphen you showed us round your old college Judith. How fascinating to discover all those skeletons, diktats the job which is frustrating but so much to be learnt!
