A beautiful frosty, sunny day on Sunday had me hopeful of some more atmospheric shots. Nigel is home so we took Monty up to Wandlebury Park which is a bit higher than most of Cambridge and has some nice woods. Unfortunately the neighbouring farmer has a very active bird scarer and as soon as we arrived it banged about 3 times. As Nigel was there Monty was reluctantly willing to continue but he headed down into the moat of the ancient hill fort (no buildings survive) where he felt safer but it wasn't frosty. I did manage to catch some very atmospheric sunrays but in the end this charming robin won out as he seems so intent on watching what's going on - he did eventually realise that a tree branch was a better bet.
That's good!!
