It was 96 degrees out today and this guy was in my yard sunning himself. I grabbed my camera DESPITE the fact that I am so afraid of these things. I got as close as I dared and tried to take a quick shot, because I knew that he would jump on me/at me at some point. I was a brave girl and only yelled a little when he jumped, and I didn't drop my camera. Yay me!
Great detail in your shot - he's a beauty. I know how you were feeling - jump (then look to see if hopefully no one was around) even when I know what they're going to do. Will do things never considered when I have a camera in my hands! Your lighting was wonderful.
@milaniet Thank you for the kind words. I absolutely understand the "camera in your hands' comment. I dislocated my little toe and it bent at an awkward angle. My first comment to my husband was, "Go get my camera!" What a dummy I am!!! :)
