Rope Splicing..

We meet this guy ( sorry didn't get his name) while taking a look around the Raglan Wharf yesterday morning. He is doing rope maintenance in readiness for the boat going out to see again today.. Here he is splicing a wire rope, which I would say was pretty skilled work and pretty hard on the hands.. he didn't mind telling George about his craft and how it is done..
