Tree planting..

Spent a lovely but very busy day helping @dide Dianne, with the planting of their wetland .. They had about 35 kids from the local school come in and plant the tree's they have raised to seedling stage.. Manuka, flax, cabbage tree's, Carex and some others.. about 600 tree's have been put around their stream.. Also to add to the day they had a film crew filming a childrens educational programme.. main character is a puppet called Moe.. he is pretty cute, so I have included him in some of my shots.. and I even had my photo taken with him... feeling a little weary after a great day...

I remember doing this when I was little. We planted natives. Hot soup and milo for lunch! Geeze that brought back some memories!

Thanks @julzmaioro for all your help today - taking photos, helping organise food and kids, manning the barbecue etc. It was a great day and everyone enjoyed it - your collage of the day is fantastic and deserves the Trending Page! Moe the monster is rather cute and it was, as you say, a bonus to the day.
