Tennis Court's....

Went past these 'retired' Tennis Court's again today and thought they deserved another photo..
So sad that these court's and club have been neglected as there is 4 courts here so must of been a very 'busy' club in it's hay day... NZ singer Lorde sings a song called 'Tennis Court' perhaps it will bring back a revival...

Interesting capture, similar neglected tennis clubs can be found in rural Australia. These places were the social hub of many districts. Sad sight indeed. Love the colours in this shot. Fav

Looks like they are in even more disrepair than when I visited with you some months ago - I can see more wood falling from the left side of the roof.

Love the green paint.......gives a great warm happy feel...shame it's not still running! Does nobody play tennis in your area? I notice our local club is advertising for members.

Very nice processing, colors and composition. Of course my eyes went first to the great greens of the porch but I think my favorite part is the trees and their leaves encroaching on the roof.

@happypat We have a Tennis Court that is just down the road, not run as a club any more but in the summer there are alway's families having a hit around... pity cause it use to be a very active club.. the club in town ( Waiuku) is going well and have lights and do night tennis torny as well... This little club in the photo is iconic of club houses from back in the day..
