Kokako

This is another of the birds I saw yesterday.. I know it is not the best of shot's but I am very proud of it.. as these birds are very seldom seen.. one because they are rare and two they hide in the tree canopy.. They are not very good 'flyers' and they hope around in the high branches and then just glide between tree's.. they eat Insects, berries and leaves. I this he has a look on his face that say's "Oh Bugger she has spotted me".. These birds are Endemic to New Zealand and mainly in the North Island..
That is amazing catching it with the leaf as well, still a fantastic shot.

Well spotted again and well captured, birds in their natural environment are very difficult to spot.

Well spotted. No wonder they are hard to find. this one seems to be carrying his own leaf around as camouflage. ha ha.

Great shot I do like the look on its face. Which is beautifully in focus too.

This is a fantastic shot - you did well to a) find him, and b) get such a good shot as he was quite a way away. Excellent - fav
