While staying at my Sisters home at Ngungaru we went for a bit of a road trip to explore the area.. and we came to the settlement of Whananaki South the road comes to a dead end and from there it is a walk across a 395 mitre footbridge.. we noticed a bit of a crowd gathering and in the water was a pod of dolphins just playing .. some of the kids got in the water and just waited for the pod of 7 of adults and two babies come to them... something they will remember for the rest of their lives..
Such a neat image - those kids were so keen to have a close up view. A magical day, being able to see a rare happening in this part of the estuary. Fav
