Cherries.... from America...

We treated ourselves to a very small container of imported cherries today.. and what a lovely treat they were.. New Zealand Cherries are ready at Christmas time so we think of them as a festive treat .. so it was nice to have them mid winter..

I bet they were expensive Julz, cherries are always expensive in the UK anyway as ours never seem to be lovely & sweet, not enough sun perhaps & then the darn birds get them!

BTW, we have been treating ourselves to Californian cherries this week. they are delicious, with very firm flesh. I guess that is why they can be packed and freighted to Oz and still taste delicious. We live in a small world.
