Early Morning Pohutukawa... by julzmaioro

Early Morning Pohutukawa...

This morning we finally had a sunny start to the day... I had been waiting to get the right light in our Pohutukawa tree around at the Runoff ( small block of land ) as this year it is covered in flowers .. It is not the best of specimens but it has flowers on every branch.. the bee's and birds were having a field day even this early in the morning..
The grass around this tree is ready to be made into hay so watch this space..
The Pohutukawa is known as the New Zealand Christmas tree as it has beautiful red flowers over the weeks around Christmas.
Well worth getting up early for ...
glorious!

A beautitiful example of your lovey natural Christmas tree Julz. It's growing in a lovely place too. Can you buy these trees at garden centres, small ones I mean? If you wanted one in your field say, you could just buy one like you could an Apple tree?
