While walking around the garden today I thought I had best pick some of the Honesty seed heads before I pull them for the Winter tidy up .. Love the fine tissue paper type seed head that are left as the plant dies back and you can see why they are sometimes called 'Silver Dollar' ..
I haven’t seen Honesty for years, lovely to see your edit on this old fashioned plant. Doesn’t seem popular here these days. Reminds me of staying at an old aunts house in Northumberland...she had these all over her garden. I grew them once but if course you have to be patient over two years. Might look for some seeds when we get moved.
@happypat Yes they are a great addition to the garden though have to be a bit 'firm' with them as they do tend to take over .. I have plants that are seedlings and 1 year olds so will have them again next summer.. Wish I could share some seeds with you ..
@julzmaioro b I think many a time I could do to bring some of your seeds home with me but daren’t although I could easily get them through the airport at this end....no one checks much coming in at Manchester unlike Auckland!
What a lovely shot. fav.
