Kiwi Road Tunnels..

We have a B&W topic at Camera Club next week so been converting some of my shots from our Taranaki trip.. We went on a road trip down a very back country road which has several Tunnels through it .. some and just dug out and left with clay walls and roof but this one has a 'framed ceiling.. These tunnels were built in the early 1900's so just imagine what tools they would of had to use .. No high reach diggers used here ...

This is FAB Julia. Having travelled the road last week, and experiencing the tunnels myself, I really, really like this one. I must admit I didn't notice this one without the nets. Looks great in B&W. I'd definitely put this one in for the camera club

@yorkshirekiwi This one is the longest of the ones we went through and on the road heading towards Urenui.. had a pretty steep gradient as well .. It is a fantastic area to explore..
