Taffy @taffy and I had a fabulous photowalk with Joe @thirdjoe and Elizabeth @redy4et! After taking photos of pelicans, seagulls, fishermen, surfers, and many of the pier in different light as the sun set, we had packed up to leave and were walking away when Joe turned around and exclaimed that the color was filling the sky! We unpacked, and photographed as the colors changed from pinks to oranges. In this one, I was able to capture a bit more of the reflections Joe taught us how to time as the wave drew out but still left enough water to capture the reflection best. Thanks to Elizabeth and Mark for picking us up at our conference hotel and taking us to a spectacular location!
Handheld, as tripod plate was already packed, with vibrancy upped to capture the feel of the evening.

Just gorgeous.. the sky looks like is on fire. The lines of the pier and the reflections are perfect. Massive fav. It is so interesting to see how differently everyone has photographed the scene. What a fun meet-up... in a wonderful location!
