Shishi on Rooftops by jyokota

Shishi on Rooftops

Officially known as the "shisa" it is a half dog/half lion creature that always guards the house by sitting on the rooftop prominently. They can also be found guarding the front entrance of a home or building. For some reason, we always called it a "shishi" as children.

Taken at the Ryukyu Mura "Village", an image of a folk singer here: http://365project.org/jyokota/challenges-and/2016-07-27

I like how my eye is drawn into the depth where the figure lies.
