halsman inspired

I really liked this portrait of Sharon Tate by Phillipe Halsman,

Unfortunately I don't have the fabulous lashes, and my face is more mature than hers haha. I discovered that you can use different brushes with the dodge tool, that's how I got the texture in the background.
Love how you did this. Super lighting. Very similar to his shot!!

You look beautiful! The lighting is fab. It is my understanding that mature is the new 18, or so I keep telling myself!!

Excellent job

Fav! This is a fantastic portrait! I can't imagine how you did it so perfectly -- it's hard enough to do using someone else as subject!

Your lighting is incredible. Again I am learning from you - the dodge tool. Must try this.

This is beautifully shot Kali and to add to the selfie is amazing! It has a differnt feel to the Halsman photo, pensive and serene, beautiful. I find selfies quite hard to get right in terms of focus and to self-conscious to have so else do them for me. I would keep the texture on the background only, I feel that it makes your body blend in it and in my opinion you don't need that, but that is just a feel and processing thing whilst the photo is just beautiful!

@frida Thankyou for those insightful comments Frida, I agree I may have got a bit carried away with the texture, I was thinking of redoing it somewhat so thanks for that
