The local fire brigade razed a house for training and to clear the section for redevelopment, we got to stand real close. Just awesome the flames licking up and around in this shot. Thanks @wendels
wow powerful! I remember when I was very little we were woken up in the middle of the night (before there were smoke detectors) with a strong smell of smoke. We knew it wasn't our house so we all walked outside. All the neighbors hd woken uo, too and everyone was trying to figure it out. Ended up that 1/4 a mile a way the farmer was burning his fields to clear them. It was midnight or so and all the neighbors walked down to watch the huge flames. I'll never forget that! This reminds me of it.
@espyetta someone wanted it gone so they can build a holiday house there, so they let the firebrigade burn it down for them, all they really did with their hoses was wet down the hedges surrounding the property so it didn't spread onto the neighbours, they wanted it to burn up as much as possible. @dolphin me too, doesn't bear thinking about.
Dearget-pushed partner, I have your challenge :-) I'd love you to capture shadows... It can be natural as well as 'created' shadows - in this last case it will make you play with lighting. Hope you'll like it :-)
Holy smokes!! I think my eyebrows are singed just from looking at this photo. The heat must have been incredible. Aweome shot, that I hope you took from a long way back.
Wow fantastic capture. There was a house that was planned to burn for practice but by the time I got there it was already burnt most of the way. This one is very cool.
Incredible opportunity! I had a real life opportunity when someone set an old building alight in our grove last year. Scary, and mega exciting! This shot is fantastic, Kali. Well done.
@dolphin me too, doesn't bear thinking about.
