first frost of the year and it was a beauty. I love taking photos of it, all my shivering meant for some blur though lol. the novelty could wear off pretty quick but I love to see the crystals close up and taking shots of the reflections on the ice...

Burr!!! I can see that you are going to have lots of opportunities to capture some beautiful crystal images. It got really cold in Wellington a couple of days ago but without the beauty. High wind, freezing cold and rain. I agree, it does look great large. All the tones of blue make it cold looking. Wouldn't want to touch them. Interesting strings attached to them. Wondering why.
