Ok, I know I am going to have to explain that title lol
My get-pushed challenge from Mary was a goodie, show 'overcoming adversity'.
The most challenging thing I have had to deal with in life has been a matter that proves the fact that a mother is only as happy as her unhappiest child. While I was falling to pieces and wondering how on earth I could handle it, a wonderful woman gave me the advice that I just had to put on my 'Big Girls's Knickers and do what had to be done.
That advice has stuck with me...we can only overcome adversity when we grow up and do what we are capable of, even if it means a leap into the unfamiliar and unknown.
Well this was not really the shot I had in mind all week, but I really wanted to participate in the artist challenge, and there was the washing line, and this was the only shot I got where my feet were off the ground before my battery went flat....pity I cut my head off
Great processing and I love your words. I've been through stuff with kids and it's so true what you say- impossible to laugh when one of your children is hurting. You catch yourself then feel guilty.
Oh good on you! That is an adversity that I wish more parents worked to overcome!! I was working with a woman online once about her parenting woes, and the phrase that we came up with for her was "who's the adult here?" LOL She even got to the point where she could recognize when she was whining, beFORE I had to point it out!LOL
'Big Girl's Knickers' what a wonderful phrase and I love the sentiment of when you need to put them on. Great photo, too. I rather like that you've chopped off your head.
You head always want to go faster!
