I planted my paeonia suffruticosa five years ago. The first year hubby stood on it and broke off the one growing bud. The second year and fourth year didn't flower - but now really pleased to see the one bud it produced this year in flower. I've read they take a while to establish so I will give it some proper care this season and make sure it gets what it needs as I think it is a wonderful plant and I would love to see more than one flower!
