Several of us went to Rome Point in Narragansett, today, to see the harbor seals that winter on the rocks there. While walking along the shore towards the point, I managed to snap this photo of a gull taking off with a crab secured between his wide-open beak. I opted not to do much with this photo other than to crop it a bit and adjust the lighting to draw out the details in the gull's features. A slight hue and saturation adjustment corrected a deep blue tinge caused by the lighting adjustment.
