Construction Gothic Style

There are a number of very old and very interesting houses along Route 114 in Warren and Bristol. This is one of them. It's an old farmhouse, built in the 1870s, in a style I'm told is "Construction Gothic." This particular house is falling into a state of disrepair, however that - and the unkempt landscape - is what drew me to the shot in the first place. I did play around with a post-processing effect that gave the house a haunted appearance, but in the end I decided the colors were too vivid and dynamic to pass up. I opted to stick with the color version of the shot.

Post processing started in Topaz Adjust. I added a "spicify filter" but then heavily adjusted the settings to tone down the extreme color variations it produced. In Photoshop, I brought the saturation down a bit, added a series of hue and levels adjustments, and topped it off with an underwater filter.
great capture.. I have enjoyed viewing your photos. I love history and old buildings. I like how you process. will follow
