Roll On Down the Highway

I went out to Colt State Park in Bristol in search of today's photo. After shooting close to a hundred shots of seagulls and a guy raking quahogs, I spotted this antique car cruising through the park. The shot was panned as he passed me, giving a nice blur to the background. I've no idea what make or year this car is, but I'm sure one of you car buffs out there will tell me!

The foreground and sky were both pretty blah today, so this one was a natural black and white. I ran it through a detail filter to bring out as much sharp detail in the car as possible. I added a touch more blur to the background using a 5 pixel Gaussian blur, and added a series of levels adjustments to get the contrast right. A yellow filter and ultimately a sepia filter added the tint, and I then used a saturation adjustment to tone the filters down to what you see in the finished product.
I love this picture!
