Working the Barge

I swung by Bold Point on my way to an afternoon meeting in Cranston. Being pressed for time, I wasn't expecting anything special, but then I noticed these two men working the barge moored between Bold Point and India Point (seen across the river.) They were lifting that heavy cable onto the barge, adding some support to the speculation that they are laying an underwater cable. "They" may not be quite the right adjective since I only saw the guy in blue doing any work. The guy in grey made a great spectator, though.

Post processing started with a detail light filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted the adaptive exposure, contrast, and adaptive saturation sliders. I also applied a very slight levels adjustment in PSE.
I like how you explain your processing. How would it have looked without any processing? Is just minor edits?

@tskipper Hi Tami. Thanks for the comment! On the processing, most of what I do is to make the colors pop, and to apply a measure of sharpening that is normally done by the camera. I shoot in RAW mode, so the camera does no processing at all to it. Some slight sharpening and some color pop is normally required.

@kannafoot Thanks for the info. I am new to editing. I have PS6, but it's a little difficult to use. PicMonkey is easy and so is BeFunky Pro for iPhones. LOL!
