Dyer Street Landing by kannafoot

Dyer Street Landing

There is a small community dock on Dyer Street, just south of Water Street, along the Providence River. This upturned canoe made a decent foreground subject for this shot of the Water Street bridge with the Providence County Courthouse in the background. This dock is a popular launch point for kayakers and canoeists, both of which frequent the river in the summer months. Despite today's unseasonable temperatures - it hit 60 degrees today - there were no boaters to be seen on the river.

Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, and then adjusted adaptive exposure, contrast, regions, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment followed by a brightness and contrast adjustment was made in PSE. A sepia photo filter topped the layers.
Beautiful! I would hang this on my wall!
