The weather today was absolutely horrendous. It was a very heavy downpour almost all day. There was no way to get out at lunch for a photo and still go back to work without a complete change of clothes, so I didn't even try to get out. Fortunately, the rain had stopped by the time I got home from work and I was able to take a safety shot of the pink azaleas in front of my house. Now, don't let this pretty flower fool you. Picture a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree with pink flowers on it, and you have a good idea as to the structure of this bush. Unlike the red one on the side of my house, which is threatening to devour the neighborhood, this one would cast enough of a shadow to shade an anthill. Still, the lone flower at the top of the bush made a nice subject against the evergreen that's directly behind it.
Post processing started with a simple pop filter in Topaz Adjust. I adjusted adaptive exposure and contrast. A slight levels adjustment was added in PSE.
