An Issue of Placement

Lincoln, Rhode Island
I was planning to visit the bike path in Lincoln, today. I cut through Lincoln Woods, intending to use it just as a short-cut, but the humor of the Lifeguard Stand set in the pond was too good to pass up. The cinder block on the beach was an added bonus. You see, for much of the 20th Century, Rhode Island was the Mafia capital of New England. It does make me wonder if the cinder block has anything to do with the reason there's no lifeguard on duty...
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
This is a funny scene indeed, and captured from a great pov :)
