Mother Goose

I had all of about 10-minutes to take a photo today, so I swung by Bold Point Park at noon. There were 3 families of Canada Geese occupying the shoreline, so photographing anything else wasn't in the cards. (You do NOT want to irritate a mother goose. Trust me on that!) This family portrait of mom with five of her goslings worked just fine, though.

Post processing started with a neutral greyscale filter. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, details, and detail boost. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.

I can only imagine not wanting to get close! A wonderful capture, very sweet, the babies are so adorable and mother looks very protective! Even more impressive when you only had 10 minutes for a photo! :)
