Photo 1000 - A Quiet Fishing Hole

A Quiet Fishing Hole
26 September 2014 -- 269/365
Lincoln, Rhode Island

I started this project on January 1, 2012. That makes today's photo the 1000th consecutive daily photo! (There are no fillers in my project.) I went to Lincoln Woods at lunch for the photo, not really sure what I would find. I was stunned to find this fisherman tucked into a very narrow inlet along the ring road. I suspect, though, that he's not very familiar with the pond. This little inlet gets very little flow, and there's a very high algae count. As a result, the oxygen level is extremely low, and any fish that do make it into the inlet rarely survive the experience.

Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, and boost black. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.

Here's the high res version in Smugmug: http://kannafoot.smugmug.com/Photo-Challenges/PAD2014/i-bVcs9GK/0/XL/2014%2009%2026_0018%20copy-XL.jpg

Congrats, Ron! 1000 days without a gap is a huge achievement. Hope you'll stay around for the next 1000! :D (Has anyone ever achieved 2000 on here so far?)
