Peaceful Coexistence

The weather was downright nasty today. The rain was extremely heavy at times, although it had thankfully paused briefly around noon when I went out for today's photo. Driving down Willett Avenue, I spotted these two mute swans sheltering on shore alongside some mallard ducks and Canada geese. It's interesting to see the three sets together since swans can be downright nasty and they're very territorial. They apparently forged a truce today, at least for the duration of the storm.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
