Bird of Paradise by kareenking

Bird of Paradise

This is a Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher, also known as "The Texas Bird of Paradise," even though it's Oklahoma's state bird.
Anyway, this beautiful bird often makes its way over to Kansas every now and then. and I love it when it does.
If you missed yesterday's smokey Kansas sunset collage, I invite you to take a peek at it because it showcases one of the few glorious things Kansas has to offer: http://365project.org/kareenking/365/2014-04-21.
He's cute. :) At first I read "Omaha's state bird".
