In the quiet of the surrounds
I am greeted by this dark country road
Main street.
The complete absence of sound,
between seasons.
No wind of the Winter
No crickets thrumming in the Spring
Sucks the air out of my lungs
And leaves me with nothing
but solitude, standing as a giant next to me.
And I am holding his bear sized paw
