What makes this portrait of me more special besides the undeniable artistic ability is that my grandson is severely colour blind and its always good to see things through his eyes. My hair is actually brown, my eyes are actually blue, my glasses are actually grey and the earrings are actually teal with silver elephants
I think his colorblindness actually gives him a very unique perspective. I like the way he sees color- it reminds me of how Picasso and other painters use color to evoke an emotion. His colors evoke a sense of happiness in me!
What an interesting window into the way he sees the world. And how great they he isn't being discouraged from painting the world as he imagines/sees it.
