This is Edward again, and he just couldn't wait for his fresh leaf to be brought in. This was taken just before the crunchy bits photo I uploaded recently.
Maybe eating on the stalks drives a koala up the wall?
At least you all that it was OK he did get his dinner :)
Thanks for awesome responses that are putting me on the trending page daily!
@thresheg@pamknowler@hermann@shirleybankfarm intensity in the eye indeed Sally - that little bit of white showing is a real sign that he is on high alert!
Shirley just outside that fence are the barrels of branches of leaf and then the table where they get sorted and trimmed to bring in - he has his eye on them indeed! thanks for commenting too Graham and Pam :)
A gorgeous capture of Edward -fav - he looks very alert and has a very determined look in that eye as to say " Come on , hurry up don't keep me waiting for my tea , I know it is there " !!

Indeed his eyes are a bit wild and intense. Denise we have to be super careful of the gate or he would be out of there quick smart, and he is pretty smart for a koala!
Jane they are not very active really. Most koalas sleep up to 22 hours of the day, but when they are awake they can be quite active in a short burst and can move surprisingly fast.
So even though he was climbing the wall, literally, once he ate he quickly rolled in a ball and was fast asleep again.
If you look back on the photos I've put up of him this week they are actually in reverse order - this was early in the shift, then I put his feed in and he did his stem eating trick, then he curled into a ball in the middle of a log and was sound asleep - all within half an hour, so the active burst did not last long at all :)
