Dewdrop stays in the tallest of the trees which can make finding her pretty hard as she is still only around 3kg old. The other 3 joeys do go into the tall trees, but they also all use some of the younger trees too quite often. In this photo she is about 30 m up a large red gum, even though she looks like she is pretty close to me :) thank you so much for so many comments, it is quite overwhelming, I'm so honoured to share this amazing place with you all
@jacqbb Hi Jacqueline - those are gumnuts which are different to berries. They are a kind of nut that are full of many little seeds. I have seen koalas occasionally nibble on them, but it's not something they often eat. When the flowers are just buds they will sometimes eat a few of them :)
@pusspup we have been having the mildest summer I can remember in so many years it's quite strange! but it's probably quite cool up there as she is catching all the breeze :)
@pusspup I know right! Usually we cop all the heat, with the humidity to boot, but for some reason the heat waves are staying down south ... so far ... think I'd better go lay out flat on a lot of wood now as just touching a bit may not be enough!
