@vignouse that really made me laugh so much Richard! The aboriginal name for koala (well there are many depending on which dialect) generally means 'no drink' or 'drought' because koalas almost never drink free water from the ground.
They get their water from the eucalyptus leaves which have a surprising 50% water content. However in droughts and with climate change this makes them very susceptible to problems with so much dense forest gone. A lone tree in a paddock tends to dry out in a way dense forests do not. We have not had rain for some time again, and out west the drought is shocking.
Hence my big laugh at 'whatever he's drinking', because he's not drinking much of anything at all, not even a nice drop of rain to drink. He's still managing to grin through it all though!
