I am confused ! Is it still 5 digits on the hand ? The double thumb and three fingers ! If so a well balanced tool to climb the trees, secure a place to perch and sleep ,not to forget the grooming .A sort of a labourer'hand . hand

@ankers70 not the least silly - koalas are the only non-primate to have fingerprints, and the palms are like creased soft, but tough, leather

their claws grow at quite a rapid pace, so they stay pretty sharp - they would never get up and down those trees without them being sharp
