My parents are about to return home from four weeks vacation. We have been checking on their house daily... opening & closing the blinds, watering the plants, etc. Today we racked their leaves!! I had visions of my children throwing & frolicking in the knee high pile we created but that didn't happen. The leaves were pretty wet but they were most concerned with the few mini slugs we found clinging to the foliage. So... this is my shot!! I think it looks better viewed large if you have the time. Happy Saturday night!! The kids and I are going to get our PJs on and watch a movie in bed. Have to get up to swim at 5:45 tomorrow.
It must have been national leaf raking day. We had pretty much the same dilema, here. We were hoping that our grandson could play in them, but they were soaking wet.
We did exactly the same thing today - hurry, hurry to beat the rain that came later. . .this is the part that I don't find to be much fun about fall, for sure. Good early swimming!
That is one thing I am glad I am beyond . Oh there are still a few stragglers, but the majority of our leaves are off. I hope your weather stays dry to rake them.
@aspada We have to drive an hour and a half to practice at a long course (50m) pool. Our town only has a 25m one so once a month we head south for extra training. Alarm is set for 5:45, then picking up 5 kids starting at 6:30 to be on the pool deck for 8:15. My life as a swim mom!!
