We went down to our property today. The waves were rolling in and it was dry out; quite a decent day actually. I started out trying to get a photo of the waves splashing up against the logs. Gage was getting impatient and wanted to go. He got closer and closer to the water. I suddenly saw a photo op and encouraged him to go deeper. He was standing on a rock and then this wave hit! The water got into his boots... it's not as warm as the Hawaiian water from a couple of days ago! I liked his expression! Here's another from today that I liked too: http://365project.org/kwind/extra-shots/2013-01-06
If you have time, check it out LARGE as you can see his reaction to the cold better.
@m9f9l@btorrey@skipt07 He was fine with getting wet. I didn't intend for him to get wet, I just wanted the foam from the waves to surround him. I was happy with the reaction I captured! This was literally my last shot of the day and then we left.
@anazad511 We left for the airport at 6pm Honolulu time on Dec. 3 and walked in our door at 2:00pm on Dec. 4. It was a bit of a journey but all the connections lined up. It's the waiting between planes and the ferry that wastes so much.
@lyno We're almost ready to start building. I'm meeting with the Regional District this week so before the end of the month we should have their approval. Next , is the building permit. I'm going to start those steps soon. We've had plans ready for quite some time. Check out this link: http://365project.org/kwind/365/2012-09-10
Great capture ~ Love his expression and your POV!
