Batting Practice by kwind

Batting Practice

I'm uploading this again because my editing didn't show up the first time and I just noticed it now...

My husband and I built this 45' long batting cage out of PVC plastic tubing today for our son. It's a bit of an eyesore for the front yard but it will only be up for a few months. He was shocked when he came home after school. I fear my husband is not going to be able to move tomorrow as he pitched a few 100 balls. He used to be a very good left handed hardball pitcher in his youth (even tried out for the National Team). I think his 47 year old body is going to feel his relived youth tomorrow!! We've ordered an automatic pitching machine which should come tomorrow.
nice homemade batting cage. I'll bet he'll feel it tomorrow; good thing the automated one is on it's way.

Fantastic vantage having captured the batting stance and pitcher's wind up. He's brave for not having a barrier between him and the batter.. Good pitching form, too:)

Great shot and great effort! I'm sure your son will love it and appreciates your support in his sports! Impressive!

Caught in action! Your son must be quite chuffed at having his own batting tunnel. I hope he'll be sympathetic to his dad if there's pain and suffering in the next few days.
