This was the view S from the restaurant today. Fort de Bellegarde in the centre of the picture is a 17th Century French fort and protected the pass of Le Perthus, which these days carries the main autoroute A9 connecting France and Spain, and also the TGV high speed rail line. The snow covered mountains on the right are the Canigou range.
